Potrivit aceluiasi studiu, media europeana de implicare in activitati de voluntariat ajunge la 40 la suta, culminand cu Norvegia, unde 80 la suta din populatie se implica in activitati de voluntariat.
Autorii proiectului precizeaza ca echivalentul contributiei financiare a voluntariatului la PIB atinge, in state precum Austria, Olanda si Suedia, intre 3 si 5 la suta din PIB.
